Wind River Linux platform adds multicore support

Wind River’s latest Linux platform is a pre-integrated, commercial-grade and fully supported platform.

Based on Linux kernel 2.6.27 and GCC 4.3, Wind River Linux 3.0 comes with packages for multimedia, graphics and HMI (human-machine interface) technologies, such as X.org, GTK+, GNOME or GStreamer.

There are also multicore features such as virtualisation based on KVM (Kernel-based Virtual Machine) and multicore offload, allowing customers to utilise the potential of modern multicore hardware.
