Review: HP's Mini-Note Rivals Apple's MacBook Air
Thursday, May 01 2008 @ 02:38 PM EDT

One thing missing, though, is a CD/DVD drive. With Linux, all your software is available over the Internet, so you may not even need to read or burn discs. But you can always add an external drive for around $50. An extra $50 gives you double the memory and a traditional 120GB hard disk drive.

Did you hear the story about Steven Levy, the Newsweek writer who lost the MacBook Air that Apple loaned him?

It's so small and thin, he thinks it got thrown out with the trash.
