NimbleX 2008 RC Released

Bogdan Radulescu writes "I am very pleased to announce the Release Candidate of NimbleX 2008! Since Beta there are major differences and it's the closest thing I can imagine to final version. Actually the main reason for calling it RC is the eventuality some important bug sneaked in."

  was added and configured in NimbleX. For starters, everyone that has a
  3D card supported out of the box by X can enjoy the 3D effects.
  Hopefuly, in the future, people will contribute to package drivers for
  this feature.

Even though it's not recommended, in this version you can use .deb and .rpm packages to escape the dependency hell easily. All you have to do is to doble-click the .deb or .rpm packages to install them and hope it will work.

If you are interested in the 3D Desktop effects open a terminal and use the "startcopiz" command. To go back to standard KDE there is also the "stopcompiz" command.Website
