Linux gets Phenom-enal
Wednesday, January 02 2008 @ 01:16 PM EST

IF YOU'RE A hardcore penguinite, you might be interested in knowing that Phoronix has posted their review of a 790FX Phenom chipset under Linux.

In this particular case, it’s (once again) a Gigabyte kit (is it our impression, or has Gigabyte achieved an almost unquestionable control over review sampling?). It’s a “first looks” article, but they seem to be confident about the mobo’s compatibility on the other hand it sports a SB600 southbridge (not an SB700 as you’d expect).
