Linux cookbook deemed "tasty" by reviewer

Carla Schroder's Linux Networking Cookbook received a hearty endorsement over at Linux-Watch this week. Published by O'Reilly, Schroder's follow-up to her Linux Cookbook is intended for networking administrators in home-, small-, and medium businesses, but could also help embedded Linux developers configuring test and other networks.

The Linux Networking Cookbook offers 17 recipes for typical Linux networking jobs, writes reviewer Steven J. Vaughan-Nichols, who put three of the recipes to the test. Vaughan-Nichols was "impressed" with the results, especially in the way Schroder explained "one of the greatest pains ever faced by a Windows/Linux network administrators -- getting Linux systems to work with Active Directory."
