Fenice 1.8, NeMeSI 0.5.1released today!
Tuesday, March 01 2005 @ 12:01 PM EST
Contributed by: manchoz

It seems like I learn something new everyday here at LinuxLinks. Today, I was introduced to the Open Media Streaming Project. The developers of it, would like to annouce the release of a new version of their client(Nemesi) and server(Fenice) software.

NeMeSI 0.5.1 "Rolling UNOG" is out. Fenice 1.8 "Rocking UNOG" is out.

Small changes to the OMSP streaming client, mostly bug fixes and code cleaning to improve the stability and reliabilty.

Roll down the tarballs and enjoy!

Minor changes to our beloved streaming server. We are just publishing some improvements and bug-fixings made at UNOG during the WGIG Meeting Webcast.

Here is the list of the changes.

  • RealOne Player Audio/Video compatibility
  • Mac OS X compatibility (Thanks to Sébastien Pierre).
  • Improvements in session management.
  • SDP multicast description is now distributed via RTSP.
  • Bug fixes.
Enjoy, manchoz
