GNOME 2.8.3 is released

The last maintenance release for GNOME 2.8 has been released. Full details from LWN.net.
I'm pleased to announce the immediate availability of the latest stable release of The GNOME Desktop and developer platform, 2.8.3.

This is the third and last maintenance release of the stable 2.8.x series of GNOME and it contains a huge amount of bugfixes and other improvements since the last release. Thanks to everyone involved in making GNOME software better.
