Tarantella Gives Away Free Linux Access Software

Tarantella is offering a single user license to their software that allows for remote application execution using only a java capable web browser.

Linux vendor Tarantella on Wednesday said it was giving away single-user licenses for its secure application access package, Secure Global Desktop Enterprise Edition 4 to seed small business and home markets.

Secure Global Desktop Enterprise Edition 4 provides access to enterprise apps running on Linux, Unix, Windows, and mainframe systems via a Web browser. The software lets workers access applications through the Internet, or a company intranet or extranet.
