The Scribus Team, led by Franz Schmid, is pleased to announce the release of Scribus 1.1.5. This will be the last development release before the next stable release of Scribus 1.2.
Most of this release has been focused on code optimizations and polishing new features added in recent releases. Among the noteable additions:
Added CMYK and Transparency Preview to the Print Preview, with the ability to preview each CMYK individually
Enabled/updated Transparencies/Alpha Channels in various formats
Enabled multiple colour sets, with 4 sets being available
Added a new Splash Screen and Icons.
Drop Caps ability
Context Sensitve menu for pages added and items updated.
Added calculator to the floating-point spinbox fields and added ability to use any of the four units of measurement (pica,pt,mm,in) on the fly.
Added multiple column feature to Text Frames
Updated geometry controls in Properties Palette
Added and updated some Scripter commands
Added Tab support with Left, Right, Centered, Full stop, and Comma tabulators.
Updated text styles
Updated drawing tools with the addition of a freehand tool
Updated PDF and Postscript export functions
Performance updates
Search and Replace functions for Text Frames
Text Import/Export into Story Editor
Updated all strings in program to make sure they were translatable with
updated translations for Finnish, Czech, Danish, Ukrainian, Polish, Russian, British.
