The version 5.08.7 upgrades to Picoscope and Picolog let you control the instruments through a USB-to-parallel-port adapter, which lets you add up to 127 instruments to a PC through USB hub. You also can send acquired data to live web pages and save screens in JPG format for e-mail and Web presentation. In addition to these new features, Pico Technology has introduced Linux drivers for their instruments. The addition of Pico Technology into Linux instrument support adds further proof that engineers are turning away from Windows as the only option for data-acquistion and instrument control.
