Linux Links is a collection of approximately 20,000 links to essential Linux web pages.
Reviewers at Linux Links list the latest Linux sites through exhaustive searches on the net. Additional links are also provided
from Linux enthusiasts.
Editors at Linux Links sort the links into organised categories which make finding a
relevant site easy. Because all sites are entered manually and are reviewed on a regular basis, Linux Links is up to date.
Links are deleted from the site when they are no longer active.
Linux Links initially began as a private home page. Back in 1994 Linux
was beginning to take off and our bookmarks had become increasingly disorganised. Over time, demand increased
from other users to list the Linux sites on a more formal basis. Linux Links was then created.
As the internet grew we saw the need to register a domain name, to make it easy for people
to find the latest Linux links. Our goal is to make it simple for all types of Linux users, whether they be a complete beginner
or a UNIX wizard, to find the most useful Linux sites on the internet in the least amount of time.
Our editors sort through the sites that they find or that are contributed by
volunteers. We enforce strict criteria to ensure that only relevant Linux sites are included. Some points to note:
Software category - Only the official application web site will be accepted. Sites that provide
reviews, summary information, and unofficial software web sites will not be placed here. This is to ensure
that this category is not diluted with 'unoffical' sites.
Personal category - This is the home for the many personal web sites that Linux enthusiasts run.
A minimum level of content is required to be listed; sites consisting solely of a few links to Linux sites will not be listed.
Sites unrelated to Linux will also not be listed. Again, we wish only to ensure that relevant sites are included at Linux Links.
It may already be listed. Check the most relevant category or search our
site through the search option available at the top of home page. If it is not listed , you are welcome
to Add a resource to our site. We appreciate your contributions and will
check out any URL you submit.
There are no charges for adding a link to our site and there never will!
If you wish to advertise on Linux Links please see our advertising page for more information.
We will only list sites that have Linux content. Sites
that promote illegal activities, display pornographic material, or offensive content will not be listed. We reserve the right
to refuse an entry.

in following the latest Software developments, you would simply subscribe to the Software section. However, if you wanted just to follow
the developments in Linux backup software you would just subscribe to the Software/Backup category. Hence, your newsletter is
personalised exactly to your needs!
The software also lets you keep your own bookmarked categories and bookmarked links
at our site, which means that whether you're in the office or at home you've always got your favorite Linux sites to hand!
