OpenLDAP

OpenLDAP

OpenLDAP is an open-source implementation of the LDAP protocol. It is a suite of the Lightweight Directory Access Protocol (v3) servers, clients, utilities, and development tools.

LDAP is a platform-independent protocol. Several common Linux distributions include OpenLDAP Software for LDAP support.

The project is managed by a worldwide community of volunteers that use the Internet to communicate, plan, and develop OpenLDAP Software and its related documentation. OpenLDAP Software provides a complete LDAP implementation including server, clients, C SDK, and associated tools.
