WaveMaker (formerly named ActiveGrid) is an open source cloud software development platform that automates much of the process for creating Java web and cloud applications. WaveMaker provides a visual rapid application development (RAD) platform. It is a WYSIWYG development platform for building Web and Cloud applications.

WaveMaker is a visual development tool that lets everyone quickly build and deploy great-looking web and cloud applications. With WaveMaker, you can build a complete, 3-tier web application in minutes.

WaveMaker is backed by a 35,000-strong developer community and is an IBM Advanced Partner for Cloud Computing. VMware sold WaveMaker to Pramati in May 2013.
