Rhodes Framework
Rhodes is an open source Ruby-based mobile application
framework developed by Motorola Solutions Inc for building
native applications. These applications can run on the iPhone, Android,
Windows Mobile, Windows Phone 7, and RIM.
The developed applications work with with
synchronized data and device capabilities including GPS, PIM
contacts and calendar, camera, native mapping, push, barcode, signature
capture, Bluetooth and Near Field Communications (NFC). Rhodes also has
support for Model View Controller, a hosted build service.
The most common way to install Rhodes is to install RhoMobile
Suite. RhoStudio is an
Eclipse installation that facilitates development of native smartphone
applications.
