Processing
Processing is an open source programming language and
environment for people who want to create images, animations, and
interactions. It has the objective of teaching the
fundamentals of computer programming
in a visual context, and to serve as the foundation for electronic
sketchbooks.
Processing is used by students, artists, designers,
researchers, and hobbyists for learning, prototyping, and production.
Features include:

development environment (IDE) for organizing projects
