ColEm
ColEm is a portable emulator of the old ColecoVision videogame
console. It should run most ColecoVision games and supports Coleco's
SuperAction controllers with spin wheels.
The ColecoVision was released
in August 1982 and sported a Zilog Z80 CPU using the Texas
Instruments TMS9918 chip as its Video Display Controller. The storage
capacity of its media was limited to 32KB.
ColEm is available for many different platforms including
Windows, Linux, and Android.
There is a paid version of this app that removes the
advertisements.
Features:
- Z80 and PSG emulation
- Transparent virtual keyboard
- Save game state on exit
Verdict:
ColEm is a capable and stable ColecoVision
emulator. The emulation is particularly good with reasonable control
layout.
