To use this app, you will need to obtain a real Atari
operating system ROM (called ATARIXL.ROM). This is not supplied with
the app. Atari Corp has given permission for images of Atari 800XL's
operating system and BASIC ROMs to be distributed freely.
Features:
- Emulates all Atari 8bit models
- Handles several image formats
- Loads Atari disk, cart, tape images
- Game controls:
- On screen controls
- Hardware DPad
- Accelerometer
- Mapped keys
- Virtual keyboard
- Key mapping
Verdict:
Droid800 is the best Atari emulator
available for the Android platform although the competition is not that strong. It has good
performance and reasonable support for ROMs.
