addi
addi is a MATLAB / Octave clone for the Android platform. It
is Java based.
It aims to be 100% compatible with how Octave works. Octave is
a high-level language, primarily intended for numerical
computations. It provides a convenient command line interface for
solving linear and nonlinear problems numerically, and for performing
other numerical experiments using a language that is mostly compatible
with MATLAB.
Features:
- Has most needed math capabilities such as matrix math
- Many mathematical functions are available
- Basic plotting (needs AddiPlot, also written by Corbin
Champion)
- Custom keyboard
- Can parse and run .m files
Verdict:
addi offers a lot more than a scientific
calculator. Based on the Java MATLAB library, JMathLib, addi is
particularly useful for anyone seeking a MATLAB / Octave type
environment, and if the Android device has a
hardware keyboard.
