We are extremely impressed by MX Video Player Pro. Its
hardware decoder is inferior to DicePlayer's with most video
files tested only offered smooth playback using the software decoder.
Further, many 720p videos we tested did not offer particularly smooth
playback with MX Video Player Pro. However, out of the six commercial
video apps we tested in this feature, MX Video Player Pro has the best
support for video formats. Further, it is the only app here that has a
deinterlace
option which is an essential feature for watching recorded broadcast
tv, as it avoids the nasty interlacing artifacts.
It is also worth noting that MV Video Player replaces the
Honeycomb task bar with five small dots. This is shown in the above
screenshot.
The fully adjustable zoom means that whatever aspect ratio of
the video, you can completely fill the screen removing unwanted black
bars.
Verdict:
MX Video Player is an extremely advanced
video player with improved
performance for the latest tablets and smartphones. It has excellent
support for subtitles, copes with large files, exceptionally fast seek
response times, and has the widest support of different video and audio
codecs.
