Blob Wars: Blob and Conquer
Blob Wars: Blob And Conquer is a 3D action adventure
game and a direct sequel to the 2D platform game, Blob Wars: Metal
Blob Solid.
Control Bob, as you run around in this 3D world, dodging
bullets and firing your own weapons at the same time. The
auto-targeting system eases the process of doing the classic dodge and
fire technique, where
the player attempts to dodge the projectiles coming at him, firing away
at the same time.
Unlike the previous game, this sequel is fully 3D and Bob is
now accompanied on his missions by a number of other Blobs, mostly a
side kick known as Teeka. The game features a much more intricate plot
than
the previous game and contains a number of static and real time
cutscenes.
The game was developed over two years, and is written in C++
and uses SDL for its input and audio control, as well as OpenGL for
rendering its graphics.
The game has been developed using a PS2 joypad.
