Stumpwm
StumpWM is a tiling, window manager written entirely in Common Lisp. It
attempts to be highly customizable while relying entirely on the
keyboard for input. You will not find buttons, icons, title bars, tool
bars, or any of the other conventional GUI widgets.
These design decisions reflect the growing popularity of
productive, customizable lisp based systems.
All of StumpWM's keys are bound to named commands, which can
be executed not only by keys but also from the input bar.
Features include:
- Emulates Emacs,
a text editor, in many respects
- Shares similar default keybindings
- Allows rebinding of keys to other commands
- Write commands
- Shell scripting
- Virtual desktops
- Mode-line like the screen utility, and Emacs
