pSX
pSX emulates the Sony
PlayStation 1, with pretty much all functionality being emulated and
most games running flawlessly.
The emulator is completely self contained i.e. it does not
make use of plugins to emulate the GPU, SPU and CD drive functions of
the PlayStation.
The emulator has been designed to be as easy and unobtrusive
to use as possible - in most cases users will not need to configure
anything to use it (except maybe the controls).
Features include:
- Supports .cue/.bin, .ccd/.img/.sub, .iso, and .mdf/.mds CD
images
- Supports compressed CD images which are called .CDZ files
- Emulation of the classic (digital) PlayStation controller,
the SCPH-1150 prototype DualShock controller, and the DualShock
controller
- Bilinear filtering
- Full screen mode; can be configured for PAL and NTSC
- Sleep when idle in windowed mode
- Frame skipping
- Gamma, brightness and contrast
- On-the-fly PPF patching via command line
