Breakage

Breakage

Breakage is an intelligent drum machine designed to make it easy and fun to play complex, live breakbeat performances.

Breakage is a software drum machine, like FLStudio or HammerHead. Drum machines are musical instruments for composing drum beats. A drum beat is drawn in a pattern grid (known as a pattern), which is made up of channels and steps.

It provides a step-sequencer pattern editor and previewer, database, sample browser, neural network, pattern morphs, statistics and probabilistic pattern generator.

Using techniques from data mining, knowledge representation and statistics, Breakage is an ongoing experiment in bringing artificial intelligence into step sequencing.
