Downloader For X (or simply DX) is a download manager/accelerator for Unix-like systems. 

It can pause and restart downloads at any time, and uses both the HTTP and FTP protocols. 

It gives the user the ability to limit download speeds to allow them to free bandwidth for other uses while downloading files.
