KMediaFactory
KMediaFactory is an easy
to use template-based DVD authoring tool for KDE.
The software lets the user quickly
create DVD menus for home videos and TV recordings in 3 simple
steps: Select Media, Select Template, and Select Output type.
It can import any file supported by ffmpeg, import DV video
files with timecodes as subtitles, import JPG and PNG graphics files as
slideshows, as well as importing PDF, ODP documents as
slideshows.
KMediaFactory automatically splits DV video and a number of
other video formats into chapters.
The software has a handy slideshow module.
The actual authoring is done with separate applications e.g.
dvdauthor,
ffmpeg, mplayer, and others.
KMediaFactory can either run dvdauthor or else conveniently
save a dvdauthor XML file for
later use.
Features include:
- Supports DVD compatible MPEG2 videos.
- Select look for the menus.
- Output dvdauthor project.
- Output DVD video directory. This can be watched with eg.
Xine or burned to DVD with eg.
