Pandora FMS
Pandora FMS is a
monitoring Open Source software. It watches your
systems and applications, and allows you to know the status of any
element of those systems. Pandora can detect is a network interface is
down, a defacement on your website, a memory leak in one of your server
app, or even the movement of shares
of the NASDAQ stockmarket.
Pandora FMS has four main components: Pandora FMS Servers
(Pandora Data Server, Pandora Network Server, Pandora SNMP Console),
Pandora FMS Agents, and Pandora FMS Web Management System (Web Console)
and Pandora Database.
Pandora can also monitor any kind of TCP/IP service without installing
agents, and monitor network systems such as load balancers, routers,
switches, operating systems, applications, or simply printers. Pandora
also supports SNMP for collecting data and for receiving traps.
Pandora agents are based on native languages in every
platform: scripts
that can be written in any language. It's possible to reproduce any
agent in any programming language and the existing ones can be extended
without difficulty in order to cover aspects not taken into account up
to the moment.
