What are good command line HTTP clients?
The whole is greater than the sum of its parts is a very famous quote from Aristotle, a Greek philosopher and scientist. This quote is particularly pertinent to Linux. In my view, one of Linux's biggest strengths is its synergy. The usefulness of Linux doesn't derive only from the huge raft of open source (command line) utilities. Instead, it's the synergy generated by using them together, sometimes in conjunction with larger applications.

Bochs is a highly portable open source IA-32 (x86) PC emulator written in C++, that runs on most popular platforms. It includes emulation of the Intel x86 CPU, common I/O devices, and a custom BIOS. Currently, Bochs can be compiled to emulate a 386, 486, Pentium, Pentium Pro or AMD64 CPU, including optional MMX, SSE, SSE2 and 3DNow! instructions.

    Stellation is a multi-player, networked game played via a web browser. It's very loosely based on Planetarion. One of Stellation's main differences is that it features real geography; a galaxy of about a hundred (currently) stars on a 2D grid. You can occupy as many of the stars as you wish, and have the military might to keep from the other players, of course.

    The Merchant is a turn based RPG in which you explore the universe and trade to earn credits and experience. It is implemented as a Web application.

    Vallheru is a turn-based, fantasy MMORPG written in PHP and MySQL (but may work with many other databases) with Smarty Template Engine, ADOdb, and PHP Mailer. It is based on Gamers-Fusion 2.5 with many modifications in security, speed, and features. It is currently available only in Polish.
  • War of Conquest
    War of Conquest is a massively multiplayer strategy game, allowing thousands of people to play in the same world at the same time. The game can be played either using the Macromedia Flash web browser plugin or the Gtk-based Flash player.
  • Way Of The Warrior: Sons of twilight
    Way of The Warrior: Sons of Twilight is a Web-based boardgame of fantasy battle. Like a boardgame, it is turn based and at least 2 players are needed, but there is no upper limit on the number of players. The game is fully and easily customizable, from the unit to the board tile.
  • WorDoG
    WorDoG stands for World Domination Game. It is similar to the popular board game Risk. The project aims to provide a strategical multiplayer strategy game on an html-only basis. All necessary operations are done serverside by PHP and a database.
