(commercial) DicePlayer is a popular video player for the Android platform. The application differentiates itself from most rival free and commercial video players by offering hardware acceleration for certain video and audio containers. This enables dual core Android devices to be able to play high definition (720p but not 1080p) MKV and AVI files which would otherwise not be playable.


  • fasd
    Fasd (pronounced similar to "fast") is a command-line productivity booster. Fasd offers quick access to files and directories for POSIX shells. It is inspired by tools like autojump, z and v.   • fanout
    allows you to run non-interactive commands on remote machines simultaneously, collecting the output in an organized fashion
  • fbmodes
    a framebuffer console mode generator: give it the requested screen resolution and refresh time (vsync period), and it gives you the modelines for fbset
  • fbpdf
    fbpdf is a small framebuffer pdf viewer using mupdf or poppler.
  • Fdupe
    Fdupe is a small Perl script which recursively scans directories and finds any duplicate files.
    FDUPES is a program for identifying or deleting duplicate files residing within specified directories.
  • Fgr
    Fgr is a small and simple application that finds files and pipes the result to grep in order to refine the search based on content.
  • File
    File attempts to classify files depending on their contents and prints a description if a match is found.
  • File rename utils
    File rename utils are powerful bash utilities that enable various file renaming actions. These include upper and lowercase conversions and renaming files numerically or by character substitutions.
  • Fileevent
    Fileevent is a rules-based utility that scans for files matching provided naming patterns than then performs actions on them. In particular it has been designed to move, scp, ftp or perform other file movement or transfers.
  • Filemerger
    Filemerger allows you to merge two seperate files in to one big file.
  • FileType
    a file type detection engine written in C
  • Fileutils
    contains the GNU file management utilities such as dd, cp, chown, du, dir, ln, sync, mv, rm etc
  • FindRepe
    FindRepe finds (and optionally deletes) duplicated files by content, not name.
  • findutils
    the basic directory searching utilities of the GNU operating system. These programs are typically used in conjunction with other programs to provide modular and powerful directory search and file locating capabilities to other commands
  • fkill-cli
    fkill-cli is a cross-platform tool to kill processes.
  • flc
    flc lists information about files (in the current directory by default). It shows the FILE_ID.DIZ of every file (if present).
  • format floppy
    formats your floppies with a capacity of 1440 or 1722 kBytes
  • fsc
    a set of source control utilities for personal use
  • fundle
    fundle is a minimalist package manager for fish inspired by Vundle.
  • fupdate
    fupdate is a script that is capable of checking sets of files on multiple hosts and determining which host has the newest revision.
  • fwipe
    fwipe overwrites your file a specified number of times (default: 5) and then deletes it. It is extremely secure.
  • fzf
    fzf is an open source general-purpose fuzzy finder for your shell. It was heavily inspired by ctrlp.vim, a full path fuzzy file, buffer, mru, tag, ... finder for Vim. fzf sorts the result first by the length of the matched substring, then by the length of the whole string. Read more
  • gcp
    gcp (Goffi's CoPier) is a command line file copying tool, loosely inspired by cp. It has high level functionality such as progress indicator, the ability to continue copying multiple files even when there is a problem with one of them, and the use of a journal to track successful copying.
  • gcutter
    a commandline tool that easily splits and joins files. It uses a CRC32 checking system
  • ginsu
    chops up large binary files into chunks for transport via diskette, and allows easy reassembly
  • git-secret
    git-secret is a bash tool to store your private data inside a git repo. How?s that? Basically, it just encrypts, using gpg, the tracked files with the public keys of all the users that you trust.
  • gkill
    gkill is an interactive process killer written in Go.
  • glark
    a replacement for (or supplement to) grep, egrep, agrep, and fgrep, glark offers: Perl/Ruby regular expressions, highlighting of matches, context around matches, complex expressions (``and'' and ``or''), and automatic exclusion of non-text files
  • GNU parallel
    GNU parallel is a shell tool for executing jobs in parallel using one or more computers. A job can be a single command or a small script that has to be run for each of the lines in the input. The typical input is a list of files, a list of hosts, a list of users, a list of URLs, or a list of tables.
  • GNUFilter
    Gnufilter is a command-line application written in object-oriented C++ that addresses the need to keep a user's directories structured and clean.
  • go2
    go2 is a fast and simple directory finder for console and desktop.
  • GoogleCL
    GoogleCL brings Google services to the command line.
  • googler
    googler is a power tool to search Google (Web & News) from the terminal. Google site search works too. googler shows the title, URL and text context for each result. Results are fetched in pages.
  • gops
    gops is a command to list and diagnose Go processes currently running on your system.
  • goto
    goto is designed to be a complete replacement for cd, i.e. the change directory tool in Linux. Read more

    GoTTY is a simple command line tool that turns your CLI tools into web applications.
  • gping
    gpingis ping, but with a graph.
  • grapevine
    grapevine (formerly known as python-pipeline) lets you create pipelines of iterators.
  • gsecraif
    gsecraif is a command line tool to split and recombine files in a secure manner. The utility is designed to run in a unix-like environment
  • gt5
    gt5 is a text-mode utility that makes it easier to determine what is using your disk space. It runs 'du' and generates HTML, which is then shown using 'links'. Read more
  • guprecords
    guprecords shows the uprecord stats of several hosts at once. It uses the uprecords file written by the uptimed daemon.
  • gvfsfind
    gvfsfind searches for files in a directory hierarchy. The tool is inspired by the Unix find utility, but operates on URLs using gnome-vfs instead of the local file system.
