During a power failure, apcupsd will inform the users about the power failure and that a shutdown may occur.

    a UPS monitor daemon. Works with Advance-Intelligent UPSes such as X power Piconet and Micronet, Megatec, Falcon SG, et.c Tested only with the X Power Micronet
  • UPSomatic
    UPSomatic takes multiple input connections feeding it parcel data and scans UPS pricing to find the valid methods and costs, and to apply any EAS charges.
  • ZUPS
    The ZEDAT UPS Daemon (ZUPS) allows for monitoring the state of one or more UPS devices using SNMP and executing user-specified commands in case of power outage, such as e-mail or pager notifications and controlled remote host shutdowns. If the monitored UPS devices are running on battery, the shutdown commands are executed for an arbitrary number of remote hosts, optionally with some delay specified for each host.
