    rdesktop is an open source client for Windows NT Terminal Server and Windows 2000/2003 Terminal Services, capable of natively speaking Remote Desktop Protocol (RDP) in order to present the user's NT desktop. Unlike Citrix ICA, no server extensions are required. hot
  • Citrix WinFrame/MetaFrame ICA
    (commercial) Citrix WinFrame/MetaFrame ICA is a Linux client for the Citrix ICA protocol used to communicate with a Citrix WinFrame or MetaFrame server.
  • FreeNX
    FreeNX is an implementation of a NoMachine/NX-compatible terminal server. It makes use of NoMachine's NX command line tools more convenient and less error prone.
  • GNOME Remote Connection Manager
    GNOME Remote Connection Manager is a Gnome2 application that provides an easy way to initiate connections to remote machines. It's primary goal is to provide a GUI to launch ssh, telnet and rdesktop type of applications, however it is highly configurable.
  • Gnome-RDP
    Gnome-RDP is a remote desktop client for GNOME. It supports RDP, VNC, and SSH.
  • grdesktop
    grdesktop is a GNOME frontend, for the remote desktop client (rdesktop). It can save several connections (including their options), and browse the network for available terminal servers.
  • krd
    krd makes it easy to configure and utilize multiple connections to remote desktops. It's a wrapper for rdesktop. You can configure almost all rdesktop parameters and copy/paste/rename connections. Passwords are stored safely in kwallet.
  • krdesktop
    KRDesktop is a GPL-ed KDE (QT3) front-end for rdesktop. This provides a GUI interface for windows terminal services (remote desktop) or any other RDP based screen sharing. Written in Quanta's Kommander, this also serves as a good example of RAD development under linux.
  • RDC
    Remote Desktop Connection is a GUI front end for rdesktop, resembling the Microsoft counterpart.This lets you select the Terminal Server to connect to as well as the connection properties, such as screen resolution, colors, performance parameters, etc.
  • rdesktop-open
    rdesktop-open is a graphical frontend to the rdesktop RDP client. It is written in Python and uses the Tkinter library.
  • Terminal Server Client
    tsclient is a frontend for rdesktop and other remote desktop tools. Features include: GTK+-2 frontend for rdesktop and other remote desktop tools, GNOME panel applet to quickly launch saved profiles, reads and writes profiles in the Microsoft format (.rdp), and is written in C using GTK and GNOME.
  • Xcerdisp
    Xcerdisp is an X windows version of Microsoft's Pocket PC Remote Display Control powertoy (cerdisp). It allows you to access your Pocket PC device from your Unix desktop.
  • xrdesktop
    xrdesktop is a GTK-Perl frontend for the command-line terminal services client rdesktop.
