Responsive Design and Fluid Grids with these Lightweight Frameworks
My favorite three responsive web design frameworks are Bootstrap, Foundation and Gumby, in that order. But sadly, development of Gumby has recently ceased. And these frameworks aren't necessarily the right solution for every project. For example, if you want to rapidly create a responsive design in the shortest possible time, you should consider a lightweight framework.

  • erec
erec is a tool program for recording raw audio stream from the soundcard. Multiple instances of erec can be running at the same time sharing the same audio device. It works as a frontend to the audio device for programs wishing to listen at the same time.
  • GramoFile
GramoFile enables you to record audio from (for example) gramophone records, process the signal and listen to the results. Because sound files in .WAV-format are used, it is possible to exchange the files with many other programs. Cdrecord(1) can burn CD-Recordables of these, so you can make CDs with the music of your favorite records. The user interface of GramoFile has a windows-like look-and-feel, making it fairly easy to use.
  • listener
listener listens for sound. If it detects any, it starts recording automatically and also automatically stops when things become silent again.
  • Manauton
Manauton is a program used to digitally record sound. Manauton can operate in a manual or autonomous mode, hence the name Manauton.
  • NotMD
NotMD is aimed at simplifying the recording of MiniDiscs: the point of NotMD is to mimic as much as possible the behaviour of Sony's NetMD recorders for people that don't have NetMD.
  • Radiocap
Radiocap is a GUI frontend to sox, oggenc, and lame for recording audio with a soundcard (WAV, Ogg, and MP3). It has a built in timer for scheduled capturing of radio programs. Recording levels are always displayed (even when recording has not started), which helps when adjusting the input gain.
  • rawPlay
rawPlay reads in 16 bit signed little endian sound data and writes it to the dsp, while controlled by a signal driven "interface".
  • rawrec
rawrec and rawplay are GPL'd utilities designed to provide the user with a simple way of recording or playing raw audio data from or to their sound card under intel Linux
  • Sound Recorder
Sound Recorder is a simple program to record samples from your soundcard to a file. It has additional support for cdrom to record tracks. Uses threads and buffering to minimize ticks and allows recording in several different wav-types, pcm and cdr.
  • VSound
VSound allows you to record the output of any standard OSS program (one that uses /dev/dsp for sound) without having to modify or recompile the program. It uses the same idea as the esddsp wrapper from the Enlightened Sound Daemon.
  • vsr
Very Stupid sound Recorder is C code for a command-line sound recorder.
  • WMRecord
WMRecord is a general purpose audio recording utility for X11, currently using the Open Sound System (OSS). The interface is designed to work in conjunction with WindowMaker's Dock or AfterStep's Wharf, two popular window managers for the X Window System.
