IBM bosses have sent a warning to Linux Desktop Developers; they have told the open source community to make Linux like a desktop OS for consumers and businesses. What they mean by this is “Not to Copy Windows.”

Market Analysis System
The Market Analysis System (MAS) is an open-source software application that provides tools for analysis of financial markets using technical analysis. Some of the features of MAS are: Includes basic technical analysis indicators, such as Simple Moving Average, Exponential Moving Average, Stochastic, MACD, RSI, On Balance Volume, and Momentum, more advanced indicators, such as Standard Deviation, Slope of EMA of Volume, Slope of MACD Signal Line, Bollinger Bands, and Parabolic SAR. Users can also create new technical analysis indicators, including complex indicators based on existing indicators. MAS can be configured and run as a server that provides services for several clients at a time running on remote machines.

    QARecord is a simple multithreaded stereo recording tool. It can record both 16 bit and 32 bit WAVs. By using a large ringbuffer for the captured data, buffer overruns are avoided. QARecord can also be used as JACK client.

    Qjackctl is a simple Qt application to control the JACK sound server daemon, specific for the Linux Audio Desktop infrastructure. Written in C++ around the Qt3 toolkit for X11, most exclusively using Qt Designer.

    qjackLaM is a Latency Meter for jack. There are 2 JackClients now: 1 only outputs, the other only reveives. This should cause 0 impact on Jacks graphordering concerning the other clients.

    sauditor is a basic JACK-based sample auditor.
  • SilentJack
    SilentJack is a silence/dead air detector for the Jack Audio Connection Kit. It monitors the peak levels on a single JACK input port and checks to see if they are below a specified theshold.

    A simple JACK application that acts as a simple minidisc recorder.
  • xjadeo
    xjadeo: X JAck viDEO display. Tiny basic video player that receives sync information from the Jack Connection Kit. Handy for soundtrack creators.
