Csound Csound is a unit generator-based, user-programmable computer music system. It was originally written by Barry Vercoe at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology in 1984 as the first C language version of this type of software. Since then Csound has received numerous contributions from researchers, programmers, and musicians from around the world. hot Abram's Table Editor Abram's Table Editor provides graphic table editing for Csound. Cecilia Cecilia is a graphic user interface for the sound synthesis and sound processing package Csound. Cecilia enables the user to build very quickly graphic interfaces with sliders and curves to control Csound intruments. It is also an editor to Csound with syntax highlighting and a built-in reference. Cecilia is also a great tool to explore the parameters of a new opcode in an interactive and intuitive way. Csound Blocks for Squeak Csound Blocks for Squeak is a tool for generating code for Csound instruments from diagrams. Not quite mature yet, but already useful. Csound-X Csound-X is a set of extensions to the csound-sco and csound-orc modes. It provides an extra layer of fontification, handles the csd format (a simple kind of XML) which it extends by allowing embedded Emacs Lisp code and snapshots management, interfaces with external softwares (Csound itself, Cmask, KeyKit, a sound editor) and other Emacs packages (SES, Calc, EEL, Speedbar). Dex Tracker Dex Tracker is a tracker that makes csound easier to use. It also includes csound routines in modules that can be used in other programs. drumachine drumachine is a Csound score generator for use in creating percussion tracks. Keso Keso is a tracker interface to the powerful software synth Csound. With Keso, anyone can create Csound source files without writing a single line of code. Pmask Pmask is a Python implementation of CMask. PVTool PVTool is a Phase Vocoder Tool Compiler: allows use of a C-hybrid script language for manipulating Csound phase vocoder files. PVTool scripts can be run as stand-alone scripts or compiled into binaries for reuse. Some scripts of varying usefulness are provided. scmscore Scheme Score is a Csound score preprocessor. Scheme Score translates a score file augmented with Scheme code into a Scheme program. When the generated program is executed by a Scheme interpreter, it produces a processed score file for input to Csound. score11 score11 is a copyrighted Csound score file pre-processor (or "note list generator") written and licensed by Aleck Brinkman of the Music Theory Department of the Eastman School of Music.
