    Quod Libet is a GTK+-based audio player written in Python. It's designed around the idea that you know better than we do how to organize your music. It lets you make playlists based on regular expressions (don't worry, regular searches work too). It lets you display and edit any tags you want in the file. And it lets you do this for all the file formats it supports -- Ogg Vorbis, FLAC, MP3, Musepack, and MOD.
  • somaplayer
    somaplayer is a music player for MP3, Ogg, wav, audio CDs, MP3 streams, and Ogg streams. It is able to use the appropriate sound drivers or demons or to stream directly to an Icecast server.
  • Towel
    Towel is a fairly basic program to play audio files. It works as a front-end to GStreamer to play both MP3 and Ogg Vorbis files. It runs on GNU/Linux and FreeBSD, using gtkmm 2.4.x, the C++ bindings for GTK+ 2.4.x.

    Y Sound Systems YPlayer is a simple GUI player for Y Sound Objects using the GTK+ toolkit.
