Checkmate mpck Checkmate mpck reads MP3 files and tries to determine if they are correct (i.e. not damaged). Furthermore, it displays statistics such as the bitrate. mp3check mp3check check mp3 files for consistency and print several errors and warning. MP3val MP3val is a tool for MPEG audio files validation and (optionally) fixing problems. It was primarily designed for MPEG 1 Layer III (MP3) files, but supports also other MPEG versions and layers. It can be useful for finding corrupted files (e.g. incompletely downloaded). mpck mpck checks whether a MP3 file conforms to the MP3 standards. It checks for ID3 tags (v1.0, 1.1 and 2.x), frame headers and CRC checksums.
