  • AEmail
    Ĉmail is the email equivalent of a file cabinet. Every email message is automatically archived and indexed for future retrieval. This frees the user from the mail archiving task and allows him or her to concentrate on mail reading.
  • archivemail
    archivemail is a tool written in Python for archiving and compressing old email in mailboxes. It can move messages older than the specified number of days to a separate mbox format mailbox that is compressed with gzip, or optionally just delete old email.
  • Archmbox
    Archmbox is a simple email archiver written in perl; it parses one or more mailboxes, selects some or all messages and then performs specific actions on the selected messages. At this time archmbox supports mbox and mbx mailbox formats.
  • Callflow
    Callflow strips attachments from email, and can optionally save the attachments to files. It will work with either mbox or maildir files.
  • dbmarc
    dbmarc is an online mail archive with a database backend, written in perl. Inspired by MHonArc and marc.10east.com. It features displaying of text/html and text/enriched messages. Also mails from the database can be forwarded as attachment.
  • delatt
    delatt: Delete attachments. delatt strips attachments from email, and can optionally save the attachments to files. It will work with either mbox or maildir files.
  • MailArchiva
    MailArchiva is a powerful, full featured email archiving solution for Microsoft Exchange. It stores all incoming, outgoing and internal emails for long term storage. A web based user interface enables search and retrieval of emails.
  • MailStore
    MailStore is a tool that provides a mail proxy for POP3 and SMTP protocols. This proxy makes a backup of all incoming and outgoing email and stores it in the Maildir format. Email messages then can be accessed through an IMAP server run on the same machine using the backup Maildirs as mailboxes.
  • shar
    GNU shar makes so-called shell archives out of many files, preparing them for transmission by electronic mail services. A shell archive is a collection of files that can be unpacked by /bin/sh. A wide range of features provide extensive flexibility in manufacturing shars and in specifying shar smartness. For example, shar may compress files, uuencode binary files, split long files and construct multi-part mailings, ensure correct unsharing order, and provide simplistic checksums.
  • Synonym
    Synonym is a product that allows a company to easily archive all email messages going in and out. It can copy mail messages, delete, reject or add a text and/or html signature based on a XML based configuration file listing regular expression rules.
  • Zambeel
    Zambeel allows you to archive anything, from anywhere, on the computer of your choice - your home PC, office server, laptop, etc. Even better, Zambeel allows you to search and retrieve those records anytime too. For everything above, all you need is access to e-mail.
