  • Limez
    Limez is a high performance mailing list manager. It can be used to send (broadcast) emails to a huge number of users (subscribers). People can either subscribe themselves to a specified list (mailinglist) or be added/removed by the list owner or via HTML templates and the web frontend. Limez does not require an extra mail transfer agent (like sendmail or postfix) because of it's built-in SMTP-capabilities. Users can be stored in files, database tables (mysql, postgres, ...) or LDAP directory (openldap).

    listadmin is designed to keep user interaction to a minimum, in theory you could run it from cron to prune the queue. It can use the score from a header added by SpamAssassin to filter, or it can match specific senders, subjects, or reasons.

    lister is a simple mailing list manager. It is written for, tested, and used on small private lists.
  • Lurker
    Lurker is a mailing list archiver designed for capacity, speed, simplicity, and configurability in that order. Noteworthy features include: google-style searching on all fields, chronology preserving threads, multilingual, and attachment support.
  • MailListStat
    MailListStat reads mailbox file in MBOX format and display various statistical data about it. You can specify input and ouput files (can be stdin/stdout), language used for output (in this version Slovak/English), error and diagnostic msgs are always printed in english.
  • Mailman listadmin
    listadmin is a command-line alternative to Mailman's Web interface for administering mailing lists. It allows you to inspect messages or subscription requests, approve or discard them manually, or discard messages automatically when certain conditions are true. listadmin can also be configured to run out of cron to do routine cleaning.

    Minorfish is a light-weight mailing list manager complete with a web interface. Minorfish is designed for simplicity.
  • mladmin
    mladmin's main purpose in life is to automatically discard the messages held for administrative approval by the Mailman mailing list manager. It is especially useful for the announcement lists where normally no messages are posted at all so there is no danger of discarding a legitimate message.

  • msgcab
    msgcab is an easy-to-use and extensible mailing list archive system. It provides a built-in mail filter allowing users to track discussions across multiple mailing lists. msgcab can be dynamically extended by Ruby plugins, and can import mails from typical mailbox formats.
  • qconfirm
    qconfirm is an implementation of a delivery confirmation process for a mailing list or mail address. It is invoked by qmail-local through a dot-qmail file, and can reduce the amount of junk mail hitting a mailbox or the mailboxes of mailing list subscribers. qconfirm performs this delivery confirmation process either sender based or message based.
  • Shibboleth
    Shibboleth is a program to manage private Internet mailing lists. Differing from other mailing list managers, Shibboleth manages lists or groups of lists which are closed, or have membership by invitation only.
  • SmartList
    SmartList is built on top of procmail and provides for the simple creation and handling of mailing lists, including fully automated subscription/unsubscription/help-request processing, intelligent autoremoval of addresses from the list that cause too many bounces, a built in archive server (with MIME support), and just about all the other mailing list features you can think of.
