    The package AKFQuiz lets you easily make your own quiz games, learning exercises or psychotests. These can be used with grquiz in a graphical environment, with diaquiz in a GUI environment or with crtquiz on the text-console.
  • banihstypos
    Banihstypos is a simple game to teach you typing quickly. It helps you improve your typing by letting you type in a randomly selected word which scrolls by on the screen at an increasing speed. If the word hits the laser, you'll lose points.
  • Bouncy the Hungry Rabbit
    You play Bouncy the Hungry Rabbit. You're in a garden with yummy veggies and a farmer who's not keen on you eating them. You can hide (and move around) under the ground.
  • Canta
    Canta's goal is to provide a platform for playing and creating songs and singing to them into a microphone. Canta can be used just for fun or to improve the user's musical knowledge.

    ChaiDraw is a simple toy meant both as educational software for beginning programmers to play with programming while getting visual feedback and as a test and example platform for usage of the ChaiScript scripting language.

    JIMaths is a small application that helps teachers automate the process of creating simple arithmetic problems of adding, subtracting, and multiplication.
  • Kalcul
    Kalcul is a game for children, aged 8 to 15 to help them improve their math skills interactively.
  • Kard
    Kard is a game for small children, aged 2 to 7. Its aim is to help develop memory and concentration.
  • Keyano
    Keyano turns a PC keyboard into a Musical Instrument! Keyano has the ability to turn your PC into a Musical Keyboard, or select Alphabet mode and it becomes fun and educational for the Kids. Type "A B C" and it says them out loud while it shows letters on screen.
  • KTuberling
    KTuberling is a "potato editor" game intended for small children and adults who remain young at heart. The game has no winner; the only purpose is to make the funniest faces you can.
  • Linux Letters and Numbers
    Linux Letters and Numbers is based on Larry's Learning Letters and Numbers. This is a Linux replacement, written from scratch, with many improvements. It was built using the GTK (Gimp ToolKit) for X.
  • MathWar
    MathWar is a flashcard math game in which the child plays against the computer to solve simple addition, subtraction, and multiplication problems before the computer player answers.
  • Multiplication Game
    Multiplication Puzzle is a simple GTK+ 2 game that emulates the multiplication game found in Emacs. Basically, a multiplication problem is shown with all digits replaced by letters. Your job is to guess which letter represents which number.
  • Multiplication Station
    Multiplication Station is an application to help memorize multiplication tables through 12x12. The user logs in and faces a blank 12x12 grid. The program gives all the products in random order. When a correct answer is given, the problem is marked "complete" and the corresponding grid cell displays the product (i.e. row * col).
  • pybotwar
    pybotwar is a fun and educational game where players write computer programs to control simulated robots.
  • pysycache
    PySyCache is an educational program for young children (4-7 years old). Its purpose is to teach them to manipulate the mouse by uncovering a picture with mouse movements.
  • schoolsplay
    Schoolsplay is a collection of educational activities for children. Schoolsplay resembles the approach taken by the Childsplay and Gcompris projects but is designed to be less like a collection of games.
  • The Linux Memory Game
    The Linux Memory Game is an X11 game for children ages 3 and up, based on the card game "Memory". It is written using GTK+ library. Although it is a children's game, it has five skill levels, the higher ones are challenging to adults as well. It can also be a very good teaching tool for teaching languages, concepts, or association

  • xletters
    xletters is an X Windows game under Linux (or other unices) that helps you improve your typing skills as you try to catch falling words by typing them before they reach the ground.
