I would be the first to concede that Linux users will never be satisfied being denied access to a desktop environment. Linux users have a choice of many different desktop environments, all with their own different styles and strengths. Which desktop environment is best invokes strong feelings. Personally, I have no strong feelings for or against any of the environments available. This is predominately because I still spend a lot of my time either using the Linux console, or, when in X, I end up at a terminal emulator, mostly Terminator.

    Bomb Bomb is the first game using the Addon technology! With this new technology, this high-speed clone of bomberman can be customized. For example, a level is created in less than 20 minutes; another example : an addon(<20ko) can add any option you can imagine in the c++-core.

    Bomber Instinct is a multiplayer Bomberman-like game in a maze.
  • Bombermaze
    Bombermaze is Bomberman clone for GNOME. It is a multiplayer action game in which players run around in a square-grid maze while dropping bombs and collecting power-ups. The bombs explode after a short time delay, taking out any nearby bricks and players. For maximum effect, bombs can be arranged so as to cause a chain reaction of explosions. The last player left is the winner.
  • ClanBomber
    ClanBomber is a free (GPL) Bomberman-like multiplayer game that uses ClanLib, a free multi platform C++ game SDK. It is fully playable and features Computer controlled bombers, however, it is recommended to play ClanBomber with friends (3-8 players are really fun).
  • Kamikaze
    Kamikaze is similar to old games like Bomberman or Dynablaster, Kamikaze provides a lot of action: Your task is to position bombs so that your enemies are hit, while you better stay out of their range. Lots of items can be found when blasting away obstacles.
  • xbomber
    xbomber is a SDL version of bomberman.
