    A Simple HTML Editor: ASHE is written in C and Motif OSF Windows. The visual interface is based on the XMosaic Visual interface.

    erwin is a really simple html editor. It has support for html tages, drag'n'drop and source highlighting.
  • FCKosc
    FCKosc puts a WYSIWYG HTML editor into OsCommerce's admin in product descriptions, newsletters, and on the main page. FCKosc requires no changes to OSC's database, requires few changes to files, and is easily upgradable as new versions are released.
  • KHTMLScrub
    KHTMLScrub removes unwanted tags and attributes from html files. Once the options are set you can apply the options to as many htmls as you want, and KHTMLScrub will also give you a preview of how the altered document looks, before you save them.
  • KImageMapEditor
    KImageMapEditor is a tool for Linux/KDE that allows you to edit image maps of HTML files. It can be fully integrated with Quanta since it is based on KPart technology.
  • Kmap
    A simple imagemap editor for KDE 3. Kmap can: create circle, rectangular, polygonal and ellipsoid maps with different colors, copy, move, delete, change colors for several maps at once, add, delete and move points of polygons etc.
  • KTML
    (commercial) KTML offers easy content formatting, advanced table and image manipulation features and a live property editor similar to Dreamweaver to ease your work. KTML supports most platforms and configurations, providing professional CSS support and easy HTML tag selection.
  • LaTeX2HTML
    LaTeX2HTML is a convertor written in Perl that converts LATEX documents to HTML. This way e.g. scientific papers - primarily typeset for printing - can be put on the Web for online viewing.
  • Mapedit
    Mapedit is an imagemap-editing program. Mapedit adds client-side imagemaps to web pages, simply by opening the page, selecting the image, and drawing rectangles, polygons and other shapes. There is no easier way to make an imagemap, and zoom support allows easy detail work on large images.
  • Nvu
    Nvu (pronounced N-view, for a "new view") is a complete Web Authoring System that combines web file management and easy-to-use WYSIWYG (What You See Is What You Get) web page editing. Nvu is designed to be extremely easy to use, making it ideal for non-technical computer users who want to create an attractive, professional-looking web site without needing to know HTML or web coding.     Peacock is an HTML Editor for Gnome. Its is distributed under the GNU GPL License. Using the latest Gnome technologies like Bonobo, GtkHTML it hopes to provide the Web Developers a congenial environment for making Websites. Still in its nascent stages it support basic WYSIWYG HTML Editing and advanced editing operations.
  • Quanta Gold
    (commercial) An enhanced and expanded version of the open source project Quanta.
  • Screem
    Screem is a web development environment. It's purpose is to increase productivity when constructing a site, by providing quick access to commonly used features. While it is written for use with the GNOME desktop environment in mind it does not specifically require you to be running it, just have the libraries installed. Read more
  • tclHTML
    An ongoing effort to write a useful and feature filled HTML editor for Linux and other environments tcl/TK supports.
  • TkImgMap
    TkImgMap is a freeware dedicated to the creation of image maps that can be included in a Web page. It has a deliberate Windows 95 look & feel, but it's vanilla Tcl/Tk and can be run (almost) anywhere.
  • VladEd
    An Italian text and HTML editor written in Tcl/Tk. It includes some interesting features.
  • Xinha
    Xinha (pronounced like the Warrior Princess) stands for "Xinha is not htmlarea". It began as a stop-gap fork of the InteractiveTools.Com htmlArea WYSIWYG editor, but due to popular demand it has spawned into Xinha, a generally better version of htmlArea version 3, with a much cooler name.
