DiscSpan DiscSpan is a tool that will take a large directory full of files and automatically burn a series of DVDs to near capacity, without the need for creating individual ISOs or moving files around. It is geared more towards smaller files such as music and photos, as it cannot span a file across multiple discs. It prompts for the directory you'd like to back up, the device to use to burn, and the speed at which to burn. Kripper A GUI front end for various command line tools which are used to rip VCDs & then to convert it to Divx & then burn the Divx files in to CDRW. mdf2iso mdf2iso is a very simple utility to convert an Alcohol 120% bin image to the standard ISO-9660 format. mkat mkat is a set of command line tools for burning and cataloging data CD/DVD and audio CDs. The catalog can later be searched for certain files or an audio CD. Tags can be used to categorize CD/DVDs, e.g. comedy, drama, kids, sports. mkat is configured to use cdrecord/growisofs and mkisofs to do the real work, but it should be possible to configure it to use arbitrary programs. mkcd mkcd comprises a simple no-brainer data CD burning kit for those who prefer the command-line. mp3ai mp3ai is a small C program to burn audio CDs starting from MP3 files. Supports burning DVD-images and data DVDs, and other funny options. nrg4iso nrg4iso is a command line utility that enables you to convert a Nero CD image file (.nrg) into an ISO 9660 CD image file. The utility handles all DAO and TAO data images. Audio images are currently not supported. shn2make shn2make works with sets of shn audio files and the make program to automate the process of burning CD-R's and encoding mp3 and ogg files from sets of shn audio files. tocgen A versatile command-line cdrdao toc file generator. It is particularly good for transferring tapes/LPs to CD. Busy (or lazy) people can break live tapes into regular sized tracks with ease while perfectionists can split tracks with great precision. It's more flexible than tocmake and may be more swift and certain than wavtoc. Vistag Vistag is a full-featured massive audio ripping tool. It can be clustered over many computers and many CD reading/writing devices, uses a nice little language for tagging, and is built around the Ogg Vorbis codec and tag system.
