  • Doublet Scan
    (shareware) allows you to search for duplicate files by name, creation date, modified date, size, type, creator, extension, contents and more. In addition, this new version looks for MP3 duplicates by their tags: song name, artist, album, genre, year and content
  • DownloadCheck
    DownloadCheck is a simple utility that checks for applications in your Downloads folder. It was written in response to the MP3Concept Trojan horse release of April 2004.
  • Droffett
    Droffett "flattens" a folder, i.e. moves all files which are descendants of it so that they are directly inside it.

    Drop?PS is a PostScript downloader; with it, you can transmit text files containing PostScript commands to any AppleTalk-connected PostScript printer.

  • Easy Card
    (commercial) Easy Card is a little application which lets you create attractive, professional-looking greeting cards first time out, quickly, and with a minimum of hassle.
  • eDocuments
    eDocuments manages your documents and pictures. Buy a scanner, scan everything you own (paperwork, fotos, etc), burn it to a CD, then browse it easily with eDocuments.
  • EdPAD
    EdPAD is useful utility that allows users to create, edit and validate Portable Application Description (PAD) files.
  • escapepod
    escapepod is a little application that lets you terminate the frontmost application by hitting Control-Alt-Delete, terminate the Dock by hitting Shift-Control-Alt-Delete, or do a force-logout by hitting Command-Control-Alt-Delete.
  • Fermata
    Fermata will "pause" a running application so that it uses no processor time. "Paused" applications will appear to be frozen.
  • File List
    File List is a batch file renamer, and a playlist generator. File List currently supports the following basic renaming routines: Find and replace (including support for regular expressions); Number sequentially; Change case; Set extension; Add prefix/suffix; Remove/insert characters.

    This application permits you to read a little part of a file at your preferred offset.
  • FileSlicer
    a utility that allows you to split large files in smaller pieces of user-defined size. It can split files of any size, even over the 2Gb limit

    Finderella is a simple Macintosh Finder replacement for children whose parents do not want them to mess up their hard disks. It also allows parents to limit the applications that their child can use.
  • Finderfresh
    Finderfresh refreshes contents of Finder windows at a specified interval.

    Fink is an attempt to bring the full world of Unix Open Source software to Darwin and Mac OS X. Packages are downloaded and built automatically and installed into a tree managed by dpkg.

    an open-source, graphical user interface for the Fink software packaging system for Mac OS X. It provides an intuitive front-end to the Fink command-line tools for downloading and installing Unix software

    (commercial) Fork Server Helper is a new system service making it possible for Mac OS X file servers to share Macintosh files with resource forks to a heterogeneous network environment without losing the fork data.
  • FreeDMG
    FreeDMG allows the user to perform drag-and-drop disk imaging on the fly. Both the program's window, and the dock icon can be used for drop imaging. There are currently twelve (12) compression form ats that the user can select from (UDZO, UDCO, etc.).

    FreeEngl is an open source spell checker developed with a reduced version of the CMU dictionary. The software takes an example text document and shows any spelling mistakes

    (shareware) FruitMenu is a haxie that gives you the ability to customize the Apple Menu and contextual menus. Using a visual editor you can edit the contents of the menus to suit your needs and taste.
  • Function Keys Mapper
    Function Keys Mapper allows you to quickly open any application, file or folder with the function keys of your keyboard.
  • FutilityCM
    FutilityCM is a contextual menu for moving resources from a files data fork to resource fork, and dumping resource fork info.
  • Gamma Control
    Gamma Control is an application that gives you the possibility to adjust the gamma correction curve of the screen. Use the application to calibrate the screen for new ambiant conditions without having to use the ColorSync Calibration Assistant.
  • Get File Path
    Get File Path allows you to copy to the clipboard the path of a file or folder dropped on it, after automatic application of various programmable transformations.
  • GlobalPreferencesLocker
    GlobalPreferencesLocker prevents kernel panics on logout when using Mac OS X 10.2.3 on portable Macs. This issue has been solved with Mac OS X 10.2.4.
  • GLterm
    (shareware) a replacement for the Terminal application which ships with MacOS X. It's made to be faster, and to support more common terminal features. It supports full ANSI colors, all vt102 protocol, all DEC function keys, and a selection of useful xterm sequences
  • GlyphHanger
    GlyphHanger is a system service that takes the currently-selected text in the frontmost application and copies it to the Clipboard as an image, suitable for use in a graphics or other document.
  • GoodbyeHello
    GoodbyeHello is an application utility for making files and folders invisible or visible.
  • grepArtee
    a Cocoa application for MacOS X that provides a graphical user interface for the Unix grep command. You can use it to quickly search text files or a group of text files on your computer and report the results various ways. Searching can be done using Unix regular expressions
  • Hallon
    Hallon can create bookmarks in many applications (like iTunes) that usually can't create bookmarks and they are always accessible from a menu whatever you are doing.
  • HexDecBin
    HexDecBin converts from base-16 to base-10.
  • Hidden Cleaner
    Hidden Cleaner is a simple drag and drop utility that cleans and ejects USB devices like MP3 players, USB sticks... It deletes the hidden files OS X creates like .DS_Store, etc.
  • Hide Folders
    This program uses the standard functionality of the operating system to make folders and files invisible. For the majority of users, any folder of file made invisible becomes inaccessible with standard Finder's windows browsing but please be warned that there are some applications that let you open also invisible files and that experienced users could, with particular expertise, gain access to a folder or file made invisible.

    ICeCoffEE lets you Command-click to open URLs in Mac OS X applications including TextEdit and Terminal. It adds the ?Services? menu to some text fields? contextual menus, and optionally to the menu bar as well.
