(commercial) DicePlayer is a popular video player for the Android platform. The application differentiates itself from most rival free and commercial video players by offering hardware acceleration for certain video and audio containers. This enables dual core Android devices to be able to play high definition (720p but not 1080p) MKV and AVI files which would otherwise not be playable.


  • browserTunes
    browserTunes allows you to remotely control iTunes from any web browser. Just point the browser to http://yourmac:8080 (where "yourmac" is the name or IP address of your Mac) and you can play songs, pause, get information about the song playing, view and play playlists.
  • Cast Away
    (shareware) Cast Away fills in a gap so far left in iTunes' implementation of Podcasts. It allows for the scheduled removal of podcasts on a per podcast basis. It also features the automatic playing of podcasts.
  • CCTunes
    A tiny program put together with various scripting technologies, to publish your iTunes music library on a website. It will create static html consisting of a main page and an inline frame per album.
  • Cover Version
    Cover Version is a visualizer for iTunes. The plug-in displays the album cover artwork of the currently playing audio track.
  • DesktopLyrics
    DesktopLyrics is an application that displays the lyrics of the song currently playing in "iTunes" right on your desktop. The lyrics for the song have to be set in iTunes;

    DockArt displays any embedded artwork for the currently-playing iTunes track in the dock.
  • eXo Visualizer
    The eXo music visualization engine is fully hardware accelerated build with OpenGl. It features a 2D procedural texture generation unit and a 3D scene description.
  • Fetch Art
    Fetch Art allows you to automatically download album art for your music in iTunes.
  • Fountain Music
    an iTunes visualization plugin which animates particles to the beat of the music
  • GasLight
    GasLight is an OpenGL visualizer for iTunes. It's essentially yet another spectrum analyzer, but is highly customizable to produce some beautiful effects.
  • GimmeSomeTune
    GimmeSomeTune is an application for extending the functionality of iTunes. It has a lot of features that make live with iTunes easier. An information window showing all the information about the currently playing song. Hotkeys for controlling iTunes when it's not in the foreground. A mini controller in case your hands are away from the keyboard.
  • I Love Stars
    I Love Stars is a very simple menu bar application that lets you view and change the rating of the currently playing song in iTunes.
  • iChartwork
    iChartwork is a preference pane, and will sync your avatar on iChat and/or Adium and the artwork of the song playing in iTunes

    (shareware) iDupe tries to deal with duplicate songs or albums in iTunes in a smart way.
  • In the Mood
    In the Mood is a widget that automatically displays the name of iTunes song as Skype mood text.
  • iRCTunes
    iRCTunes is a plugin for Chat Clients that allows you to completely control iTunes. Using a series of /itunes commands, you can quickly and easily export the now playing info to IRC, MSN, AIM, YIM, Jabber, Etc, or even reverse it, with commands like Play, Pause and Rewind, you can control iTunes from that IRC shell or Chat Window.

  • ITunes Current Song Menu
    ITunes Current Song Menu allows you to display the song currently played by iTunes (and other information) in the menu bar and to search for the lyrics of this song.

  • MoveTunes
    (shareware) MoveTunes takes a list of music and copies or moves all matches in iTunes to a specified target folder, while trying to organize the files.
  • MusicPort
    MusicPort is a bundle of two softwares : MusicDaemon and MusicServer. The aim is to be able to use its iTunes music library on a computer to another computer through Internet.
